Finally, the cold weather has released it's grip on us long enough to get our boats unwrapped, cleaned, painted and hopefully launched in the next couple days. I can't wait to see "Jo-Sea" in her slip and ready to go fishing.
Speaking of fishing, there are some promising things happening right now. Striped Bass are still biting strong in the Housatonic River, Tautog (Blackfish) are being found around the usual rock piles and jetties and the occasional Weakfish (Sea Trout) can also be found this time of year. There have already been bunker sightings around Black Rock and Milford. The first of three different seasons for Blackfish will close on April 30 and not reopen until July 1. Fluke (Summer Flounder) season opens on May 17.
I should be in the water and ready to run charters starting next week so if you want to take advantage of any of the above fishing opportunities, drop us an email at: firstname.lastname@example.org or call me at: 203-257-3431. Hope to get you on the water soon.
