What to Bring on Your Private Fishing Charter
Even on warm, sunny days the mornings can be chilly on the water so bring a sweatshirt or light jacket. Also, if there is a chance of showers bring along some rain gear. A hat or visor is important and a good pair of sunglasses will help cut the glare from the water’s reflection. Sunscreen is a wise idea even on overcast days. As far as footwear, sneakers, deck shoes or rubber fishing boots are recommended. Crocs and flip-flops are also acceptable. Please no dark soled shoes or work boots.
Bring what you would like to eat and drink. Responsible alcohol consumption is allowed. A large cooler is provided but feel free to bring a small cooler on board. Finally, bring along a camera to capture all the fun and excitement.
Gear
On our private fishing charters, we use only the finest tackle made by Shimano, Daiwa, Abu Garcia, Seeker, G. Loomis and custom made rods from Fisherman's World in Norwalk, CT. With the exception of fly-fishing, all gear is provided for your trip but feel free to bring along your favorite ‘stick’ if you so choose. Just remember, your little trout pole is no match for a big Striper or Bluefish. On our fishing trips, we use both live bait and artificial lures. If you want to bring some tackle with you but are unsure as to what to bring, feel free to call me prior to your trip and I can give you some suggestions as to what’s working at the time.

The reduced rate is due to the fact that we will ONLY be fishing for Porgies and other small bottom fish.
Instructional fishing charters on “Jo-Sea” or your boat *
4 hours $375.00
* A $50.00 deposit is required for all fishing trips CT at time of booking. Deposit is fully refundable if trip is cancelled at least 48 hours in advance.
